This project marked a breakthrough for Tint Tone and Shade. It involved transforming an old, cramped 2 BHK into a modern, elegant space with a predominantly black-and-white theme accented with gold. The client wanted to scrap everything and completely redesign the interiors, incorporating elements like an island kitchen and luxurious finishes. The result was a stunning transformation that redefined the home, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality.

Vision and Concept

  • The client's vision was clear: a predominantly black-and-white home with gold accents, emphasizing openness and lightness.

  • The design concept revolved around an open-plan layout for the living and dining areas and a modern, minimalist aesthetic.

Key Features

Open Concept Layout

  • Combined living, dining, and kitchen areas for better flow and connectivity.

  • Open kitchen with an island counter to enhance functionality and style.

Customised Furniture

  • Marble-top dining table with hanging lights.

  • Ottoman-style seating in beige tones.

  • Center table with a marble top.

Master Bedroom

  • Unique smoky-effect back panel artwork.

  • Tinted glass sliding wardrobe doors.

  • Study space integrated within the room.

Kitchen

  • Addressed issues of smell and cramped space.

  • Installed an island counter with a chimney and ample storage.

  • PU-finished shutters with a beading for a European touch.

Guest Bedroom

  • Showcase for the client's collection of miniature Ferrari and McLaren cars with track lighting.

Pooja Unit

  • Modern semi-closed design with an MS frame partition.

  • Marble back panel and fluted wall panelling for elegance.

Dining Area

  • Black-and-white modern contemporary art and marble-patterned wallpaper.

TV Unit

  • Marble and fluted panels with concealed wires and profile lighting.

Bathrooms

  • Black-and-white theme

Lighting and Decor

  • Track and hanging lights customized for every room.

Functional Upgrades

  • Proper planning for the servant's room and utility area.

  • Addressed termite and waterproofing issues in the old structure.

Challenges and Solutions

Structural Constraints

  • Challenge: Being a 10-year-old apartment, the structure couldn't be altered significantly.

  • Solution: Focused on interior redesign and innovative treatments like termite proofing and water treatment.

Sourcing Materials

  • Challenge: Delays in sourcing specific tiles and customized artwork.

  • Solution: Worked with dedicated suppliers and artists to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Execution of Memory Wall

  • Challenge: Integrating personal elements while maintaining the overall design.

  • Solution: Collaborated closely with the client to achieve a balance.
