The client envisioned a minimalist and open interior that prioritized circulation space and reflected the Japandi style. Inspired by elements from our Experience Centre, such as textured paint, the crockery unit, and breakfast counter, he sought a seamless blend of Japanese and Scandinavian aesthetics. Using pastel tones and minimalistic designs, we transformed his space into a serene, functional home.

Vision and Concept

Client Vision: A minimalist design with maximum circulation space, minimal false ceilings, and pastel tones. Inspired by Japanese interiors.

Design Concept

  • Stainless steel partitions with anodized coating and flexiply ledges created a contemporary and minimalist divide.

  • Japandi elements were incorporated throughout with wood-patterned laminates.

  • A focus on openness and subtle boundaries enhanced the flow and functionality of the space.

Key Features

Living Room

  • TV unit wall finished with POP punning and premium wall paint.

  • Stainless steel partition with anodized coating for a sleek and open design.

Wardrobes and DB Box

  • Wood-patterned laminates with tall handles and bottom finger grooves for wardrobes.

  • Concealed electric DB box with a rattan sheet finish and key-holder dots integrated into the entryway.

Master Bedroom

  • Textured feature wall finished in Calcecruda Roman Mandala paint by Asian Paints.

  • A calm, earthy palette complemented by Roman-inspired artistry.

Pooja Space

  • Minimalistic patterned partition replacing traditional doors.

  • HDHMR panel with CNC and Duco finish, featuring a leaf-like pattern

  • Another Highlight would be the illuminated feather pattern for the Pooja Panel.

Kitchen and Dining

  • Pastel and wood combination for the kitchen.

  • Crockery unit with aluminum profile shutters and black-tinted glass inspired by the Experience Centre.

  • Streamlined design ensuring ample circulation space.

Lighting

  • Neutral white lighting used throughout to complement the pastel and wood tones.

Challenges and Solutions

Theme Alignment

  • The client initially envisioned grey and black interiors, which clashed with the builder-provided cream-colored flooring.

  • Solution: We presented multiple options showcasing the aesthetic and functional advantages of Japandi interiors. Through a collaborative process, the client embraced the Japandi theme, aligning perfectly with their minimalist vision.

Material Selection

Selecting exact materials to align with the Japanese-inspired theme required extensive catalog exploration and collaborative efforts with the client.

"The client told us how they stumbled upon Tint Tone and Shade on Instagram and instantly fell in love with the honesty and detail in our projects. They shared how visiting our Experience Centre was like stepping into a world of design magic—every piece explained with such warmth and clarity that they knew we were the right fit. They couldn’t stop raving about the minimalistic charm of the sleek partition and the elegance of the crockery unit, which were exactly what they had envisioned. The textured paint feature in the master bedroom, inspired by our Experience Centre, became their favorite "wow" moment—a true showstopper. What really touched us was hearing how smooth and stress-free the entire process was for them. It’s not just about the design, but the journey, and they truly felt we were with them every step of the way in creating a space that feels uniquely theirs. "
